PCOD: A Curable Disaster
What is Pcod?
Pcod is a common disease that affects the Ovaries. It is an autoimmune disease where the body begins to attack itself, resulting in inflammation of the Ovaries. Symptoms include nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain and diarrhoea.
Symptoms of PCOD include:
1. Depression, irritability, and anxiety
2. Loss of interest in daily activities (especially socializing)
3. Difficulty concentrating and remembering things
4. Hormone imbalances like weight gain or loss, irregular periods or bleeding, fatigue, bloating, nausea/vomiting/dizziness/headaches/eye puffiness/swollen breasts/weight gain around the middle of abdomen
5. Infertility
6. Acne (on your face)
7. Obesity (but not enough weight gain to be considered overweight)
8. Hair growth on your arms or legs
The symptoms of pcod are similar to those of other conditions, so it can be difficult to distinguish between them. However, there are some unique features that make pcod a different disease than others:
1. Diagnosis requires multiple tests such as a blood test and an ultrasound scan.
2. The diagnosis cannot be made until at least two months have passed since the patient first began showing symptoms of pcod, because it takes time for the condition to develop before there are visible signs on x-rays or scans taken during this time period.
At Protin we have crafted meals to make them absolutely consumable by the women that have PCOD. Each step in the cooking process is mindfully curated so that the food we make can not only be consumed without health repercussions but also assist in eradicating the disease. Our fitness consultant will guide you through the entire process.
